The new active transportation bridge across the Red River is excellent. It is built on the old Bridge piers and is now a nice new wide bike and pedestrian bridge that connects trails on either side of the Red River. Also, large in your face signs welcome you to the neighbourhoods and are an impressive entrance to the pocket communities.
Winnipeg should consider something like these 'welcome signs' instead of the plywood signs and the faded out and torn flags! First impressions are everything. Elmwood and Point Douglas are looking pretty good and the overall City of Winnipeg is looking a little ratty.
