City of Winnipeg Flood Warnings

The Province and the City of Winnipeg have posted their Flood Forecast for this Spring. It looks like this will be a tough year on those living on or near the River. The City says that approximately 700 homes will require protection by temporary dikes if the river levels reach 25' James Avenue Datum. The flood in 1997 reached 24.5 feet and in 2009 the river reached 22.6 feet.
